Capture the essence of yesteryear when you stay at Tairoa Lodge. One of Hawera's
oldest standing residences, it was originally built in 1875 from kauri timber floated by
barge from Northland and is situated on land which in pre-European time was a
Maori Pa.

Tairoa Lodge is nestled amongst established grounds
with protected Kauri and Copper Beech trees, N.Z.
natives, rhododendrons and camellias. Recently
renovated for the comfort of guests, this victorian
villa has been tastefully decorated with a mix of
antiques and country-style furniture. The spacious
bedrooms, each with en suite, have delightful views
over the garden and swimming pool.
