Capture the essence of yesteryear when you hold your ceremony & reception in the beautiful grounds of Tairoa Lodge. One of Hawera’s oldest standing residences, it was originally built in 1875 from kauri timber floated by barge from Northland.
Tairoa Lodge & Cottage and the recently relocated and renovated historic Church Hall are nestled amongst established grounds with protected kauri and Copper beech trees, N.Z. natives, rhododendrons and camellias. The grounds offer numerous spaces for you to choose to hold your ceremony, along with photo opportunities outside and inside the 1875 Victorian villa, off-street parking for guests and options for accommodation for the bride & groom and out-of-town guests.
Tairoa Lodge offers a "one-stop venue" where you can hold your ceremony in the park-like grounds, including drinks & canapes for pre-dinner, reception and accommodation for the bride & groom and out-of-town guests.
