How to find us
We are located on the Corner of Puawai Street & South Road, Hawera, with the entrance off 3 Puawai Street.
Driving from the South - via Highway 3
As you approach Hawera from the south, you will pass "the big cow" on the corner of Whareroa Road and South Road. You can see Fonterra Whareroa, the dairy plant on your left. Continue for about 1KM and you will drive under a train over pass. Take the first street on the left at the top of the hill - this is Puawai Street. (If you pass the "Subway Dairy" on your left, you have driven too far.) The first driveway on your left will take you to Tairoa Lodge. Follow the signs around to Reception
Driving from the North - via Highway 3
As you approach Hawera, you will pass the Hawera Racecourse on your left. A little further on you will reach a round-about. Drive straight through the round-about onto Waihi Road and drive to the end, where Waihi Road meets South Road. Turn left on to South Road (the road to Wanganui/Wellington) and continue for approximately 2KM. Puawai Street is the last street on the right as you leave Hawera. (If you drive under a train over pass you have gone too far.) The first driveway on your left will take you to Tairoa Lodge. Follow the signs around to Reception.
Driving the coastal route - Surf Highway
Following the coastal route from New Plymouth, you enter Hawera on South Road. Continue along South Road (the road to Wanganui/Wellington) and continue for approximately 2KM. Puawai Street is the last street on the right as you leave Hawera. (If you drive under a train over pass you have gone too far.) The first driveway on your left will take you to Tairoa Lodge. Follow the signs around to Reception.
